The Bible claims to be the word of God more than 2000 times. The accuracy of His word and the accuracy of this claim imply at least two things. First, that there is a God as explored in the section on The Bibliological Argument. It must be agreed that if the Bible could be shown to be the word of God, then it follows that He must exist.
Second, there is a clear implication that the word of God is authoritative. That is, a God who is omnipotent and omniscient revealed His will. He is a wise and powerful creator and His word deserves the utmost reverence, respect, and obedience. This gives me tremendous confidence in the word of God. I can be confident that the word of God is authoritative because it comes from Him. Further, it is sufficient. If I can know for certain of my eternal life - life in His name - through what was written for me, then clearly there is nothing more that needs to be revealed. Which is fortunate since scripture also teaches that the Bible is final (proceed to this topic).
